Breaking: Djokovic survives epic 5 setter against Wawrinka

In the best match so far of the 2013 Australian Open, defending champion Novak Djokovic survived an epic 5 set match against 15th seed Stanislav Wawrinka 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-7, 12-10. Wawrinka played the match of a lifetime nearly taking out the number 1 seed as the two traded brilliant serves and missile-like ground strokes for over 5 hours. A relieved Djokovic said after the match that Wawrinka deserved to win equally but it’s Djokovic who moves on to play Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals Tuesday. The question is will he be able to recover in time after playing a match that resembled his epic final against Rafael Nadal last year?
